Yes. The Free Edition includes all current control methods and one editable profile, with no subscription, credit card or time limit. An account and internet connection are required. Upgrade to Pro when you want to keep several editable profiles instead of replacing your Free profile.
PlayAbility Pro adds unlimited editable profiles, profile duplication and renaming, export and import of mapping profiles as local files, and additional themes. All current control methods are already included in Free. Monthly and yearly subscriptions include the same Pro features and updates while your subscription is active.
Free has no subscription or time limit. For Pro, choose a monthly or yearly subscription that you can cancel anytime through the customer portal. Both options include the same Pro features. Existing lifetime purchases remain valid.
Automatic profile sync between computers is not currently available. Signing in on another computer does not transfer your profiles. With Pro, you can export mapping profiles to a local file and import that file on another computer.
Install PlayAbility on the new Windows PC and sign in with your account. With Pro, export your mapping profiles to a file on the old PC, copy the file to the new PC, and import it there. Exports do not include overlay layouts or device settings. Imports skip profiles whose names already exist, so they do not overwrite those profiles. Free users can recreate their editable profile or import community controls into it.
No. Publishing a community profile requires an account, not a Pro subscription. Both editions can browse and import community profiles. In Free, imported controls can be added to your editable profile, or an imported profile can replace it.
No. WebSocket and MCP integrations and app-based profile switching are available in both editions where supported by the platform. Enable and configure the integrations you want to use. Profile operations follow your edition’s profile limits; Pro lets you keep multiple editable profiles.
Free requires an account and an internet connection. Face, head and voice processing runs locally. Pro offline access requires prior online subscription verification and periodic reconnection. Downloads, community features and software updates also need an internet connection.
